We were so excited to welcome Michael Rosen into school on Monday morning, who came to lead a poetry workshop with our pupils and staff. The event, which was themed to coincide with Refugee Week later this month, was live streamed to 20 classrooms across our Anglian Learning Trust. Our pupils listened to poetry from Michael’s book, ‘On the Move’, heard the choir sing refugee themed songs using Michael’s lyrics and worked collaboratively to write our own poem of hope for anyone who finds themselves a refugee living away from home.

A free concert, Voices of Compassion and Hope’ is taking place at 4pm on Sunday 30th June at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, and all children and families are welcome to attend. More information will be shared next week, along with details about a poetry competition taking place, with a prize of performing the winning poem on stage with Michael Rosen.
