In order to promote a positive attitude, high standards and a sense of personal pride we would ask all parents and pupils to adhere to the following school uniform guidelines.

School uniform that is required at Linton Heights:

  • Navy blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
  • White or light blue polo shirt or shirt
  • Grey or black skirt, trousers, dress or shorts or a blue gingham summer dress
  • Black shoes/plain black trainers – not boots, Crocs, sandals etc.
  • Hair that is shoulder length or longer must be tied back securely during the school day.
  • Hair should be worn in a neat, conventional style with a natural hair colour.

Any of this uniform can be worn at any time of year. The only jewellery that can be worn is small stud earrings and watches. These must be removed for PE sessions.

PE kit is:

  • Light blue t-shirt
  • Navy blue shorts or joggers
  • A navy blue jumper or tracksuit top
  • Trainers

All earrings must be removed for PE – taping them is not adequate. If earrings cannot be removed then children can still participate in the lesson but this must be risk assessed by the teacher and the level of participation may be changed based on the chance of contact with others, objects or the ground. Children who cannot remove their earrings can not swim. We follow the AfPE and Cambridgeshire guidance which can be found here

When children swim in the summer and autumn terms, they will require a one piece swimming costume or swimming trunks and a towel.

We do not require any of these items to be school-logoed and all of the non-logoed items are available cheaply through supermarkets and other low-cost outlets.

We do offer a range of branded, embroidered uniform can be bought online through Price & Buckland Free delivery is available to school.

Second-hand uniform is available with sales held in the summer term. Donations of outgrown uniform are always welcome.

Please can we remind parents to name every item of clothing that is sent to school. This includes items such as coats, trainers, caps, towels, etc. as well as uniform. Each term we donate at least 3 black sacks of unclaimed uniform to our recycling partner. Don’t let it be yours!
