This morning we left our school to visit the AstraZeneca Discovery Centre. When we arrived we were given lanyards and had to scan them to go through special glass doors. Before long, our class was split into two and we were given an amazing tour of the building, while also figuring out how to tackle and cure a disease in the same way a scientist would through a range of challenges. We learnt that it takes 10 years to make medicine under usual circumstances! When we arrived at a science laboratory, we all wore lab coats and goggles and were able to experiment with scientific pipettes. You had to be so precise and the lady who explained it was very kind and informative. Time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to come home. An inspiring day out!    Adelle, Class 5
