Y6 WW2 Day
Following on from their amazing trip to Bletchley Park on Tuesday, Y6 had a WW2 day in school on Wednesday.
During WW2 day, we had a certain group of children who had brought in artefacts from WW2 and even from WW1. Second of all, we had a WW2 feast with carrot curry, spam hash and WW2 treats. After lunch, both classes did some blitz art with chalk, card and black paper. With the feast, we had to evaluate what we thought of the rationed food. We had to evaluate with our sight, smell and taste. We had a ginger biscuit that we missed in the feast due to the size. A lot of the year hated it but a few loved it. We had a history about women in war and how much of an impact they had. In general we had an amazing time living a day of WW2. Many children brought in medals, books and even a deactivated bomb. We loved it!
