Year 5 Greek Day

On Tuesday 13th January, Year 5 explored their new history topic through an Ancient
Greek day. They were invited to dress up as as somebody from Ancient Greece and we
were impressed with costumes created, with a range from Greek citizens to Gods and
Goddesses. During the day, they had the opportunity to create their very own Greek pot
(that will be painted at a later date), take part in Greek inspired drama and try new
foods – the stuffed vine leaves did not go down as well as the pitta and halloumi!
Everybody had a great day and they are excited to learn more about the wonders of
Ancient Greece.
