Pupil Leadership
At Linton Heights Junior School, we believe that the children have a vital role to play in the leadership and direction of the school and school improvement. We also believe that it is important to take on responsibilities to prepare them for their futures. There are a number of ways that children at Linton Heights can get involved in pupil leadership. They include:
- School Council – one from each class
- House Captains – one boy and one girl from Year 6 for each house
- Vice House Captains – one boy and one girl from Year 5 for each house
- Junior Leadership Team – one from each class
- Eco Council – one from each class
All of these roles are elected (either by children or staff) which teaches children the importance of democracy.
Each of our pupil leaders will demonstrate the following skills:
· Have a positive, enthusiastic approach to learning
Demonstrate our school values
· Be smart and well presented
· Be reliable
· A strong communicator
