Welcome to the Year 6 page
Class 7 is taught by Mr Wilson and Class 8 is taught by Mrs Foley. We are lucky to be supported by Miss Walton, who will be working as a TA as well as teaching on several afternoons, and by Mrs Kerr on a Thursday.
Miss Farr teaches one of our PE sessions on a Tuesday (swimming). The other PE session is on a Monday.
On a Thursday afternoon, Mrs Mason, our music specialist, teaches music and this half term Mr Barnes will be teaching RE.
This term, our history topic is Local History. We will be focusing upon census data from the local area and using to make inferences about people who lived in Linton. We will focus on working conditions during the Victorian times and consider the thoughts and feelings of children, in particular, during this period of time. In science, we will be learning about evolution and the work of Charles Darwin. This will link well with our learning in English – we are writing biographies of historically significant figures.
