Year 6
Welcome to the Year 6 page
Class 7 is taught by Mr Wilson and Class 8 is taught by Mrs Foley. We are lucky to be supported by Miss Walton and Miss Coleman, who will be working as TAs in both classes. In addition, Miss Walton also teaches on several afternoons.
On a Thursday afternoon, Miss Farr teaches PE to both classes and Mrs. Mason, our music specialist, teaches music. We have an additional PE lesson on a Monday afternoon.
This term, our history topic centres around finding out the impact of World War 2 upon the people of Britain. Year 6 have begun with a quest in which we are completing lots of different challenges to learn about the causes of World War 2. In addition to our history lessons, we are learning about World War 2 in our reading and writing lessons. We have been learning about incendiaries bombs, air raid shelters and the Home Guard so far. We are really excited about our World War 2 day, cooking during rationing and visit to Bletchley Park!
