Welcome to the Year 6 page
Class 7 is taught by Mr Wilson and Class 8 is taught by Mrs Foley. We are lucky to be supported by Miss Walton, who will be working as a TA as well as teaching on several afternoons, and by Mrs Kerr on a Thursday.
Miss Farr teaches one of our PE sessions on a Tuesday (swimming). The other PE session is on a Monday.
On a Thursday afternoon, Mrs Mason, our music specialist, teaches music and this half term Mr Barnes will be teaching RE.
This term, our history topic is World War II. In history and in English, we will focus on the lead in to WWII, the Blitz, evacuation, rationing and stories of children in occupied countries. We will also explore the effect of the master code breakers at Bletchley Park in computing and then visit the museum at the end of term. We will also be completing a WWII Come Dine with Me in DT, investigating, modifying, cooking and evaluating recipes from the era.
